Well I know from using Mel's pastes for the past two and a half years and converting nearly all my colleagues and friends to their wonderful authenticity that make Mel's exceptional curry pastes, I am happy to say that they are without hesitation the best in NZ and the best I’ve tasted in my culinary life. With this, my assumption would be that there are no more rabbits to pull out of hats and my Indian culinary life is complete… Mel begged to differ on this one with the introduction of the Mel's Bhajia mix which I tried last night, a perfectly light, delicately spiced mix, which cooked to a perfect crisp and airy Onion Bhaji. Like the rest of the Mel's range, the instructions are clear and the mix is easy to use. I used onions last night but Ilook forward to trying heaps of other veges with the mix. Another great Mel's trait is that the mix is Gluten free and made with only the best raw spices & ingredients.
The Bhajia’s accompanied a BBQ spatchcocked free range chicken, marinated with Mel's Tandoori paste and served on a naan bread with a simple garden salad, plain unsweetened yoghurt and Mel's Tangy Tamarind chutney. The meal was a great success and will be a welcome addition to our weekly repertoire! It will be enjoyed and shared with friends for the rest of summer and through the year. I can't wait for the next delicacy that comes from Mel's, and nor can the ravenous followers in my office!

I recently met Mel, during a business meeting, Mel gave me the Butter Chicken to try. The instructions were easy to follow, no mess, and preparation time was minimimal. The flavour and texture was amazing and always a huge bonus the "kids loved it". I’m a busy working mum and guilty for finding meals that are easy to prepare. This product exceeding my expectations and I found it a lot better than other brands I have tried in the past. The packaging allowed me to seal the remaining paste and use at a later date. With small children I found this great, not only did they love the Butter Chicken, but I was able to spend more time with the children and less time in the kitchen. I would be happy to recommend this product to all my friends and family and be happy to host a dinner party using Mels products.

Foodie alert !!!!!
Whilst at the Food Show in Auckland a couple of weeks ago I visited a stall that was featured in this month's DISH Magazine, called Mel's! They are specialists (and I don't use the term specialist hastily) in Indian curry pastes, and whist I am not in favor of pastes and stuff in cans etc, these products smash my lifelong rule! They are better than anything I have ever done myself and the results are better than ANY Indian restaurant in the Hawkes Bay by a country mile. I have made the Vindaloo (Out of this World), the Tandoori Marinade (hold me back!) and the Butter Chicken which I have never been a huge fan of but OMG!! not only are the pastes beautifully flavored, but they are beyond simple to use, most just require whatever protein or veg you want, with either water, cream, yoghurt or coconut cream and either slow cooking or 'till done' is required. They are also MSG, preservative and Gluten free, which rules out a lot of allergies etc. I have since been on the phone and emailing Mel who is the owner on the business showering her with praise and seeing what sort of bulk deal I could organize for a group order. She has come back with an amazing deal, I already have 20 units asked for by salivating friends and now you can all get in on the deal. You have my word that you will not be disappointed and this will be an order
you will want to repeat.

We visited you at the Foodshow and we got a Rogan Josh(my favorite), Butter chicken(of course, strangely I'd never had butter chicken before coming to NZ) and a
Hot Vindaloo .
We had the Rogan Josh last week and the Butter Chicken this week, it's turning into
something of a treat now as the sauces are just fantastic!
I have to say that having been brought up in Manchester in the UK I like to think of myself as something of a curry fan but I was continually disappointed with the poor
quality of the run of the mill sauces and powders from the NZ supermarkets. That
was of course until we got your sauces, real curry at last!!!
Even the kids had three helpings and they are normally quite fussy eaters. Well done
and don't change what you're doing your sauces are the real deal - proper curries, for
those out there that want an authentic Indian taste Mel's is the only way to go.
I've told all my friends on Facebook and even posted it on twitter I was so pleased
with your curry sauce.
Looking forward to next week's curry now (we should make it every day really - it's

| "Hi, I am writing to tell you how impressed I am with your Tandoori paste. For years I have been looking for a restaurant quality tandoori paste and have had to resort to Pataks, sad I know. I have tried making my own, but they never come close. All of this changed on the weekend when I walked into Nosh in Glen Innes. As soon as I opened the packet I knew it was the real deal. I cooked the chicken skewers on the bbq and everyone thought I had purchased the chicken from a restaurant. I cannot wait to get back to Nosh and try your Korma and Butter Chicken. "Joanne and I have been avid consumers of Mel's Butter Chicken curry sauce for 9 months.
We both have a passion for Indian cuisine and have over the years, always been keen to replicate our favourite Indian dishes in a more cost effective way as opposed to dining at a restaurant. We must have tried every Indian curry sauce on the market in New Zealand & Australia, however no sauce has been up to the standard and taste as one might find at a quality Indian restaurant like Mel's’.
